Welcome Videos for new Nursery & Reception Pupils & Parents
Dear Parents ,
We are very sad not to be welcoming you in person this term, which is when we would normally invite you in to school to meet your child’s class teacher, see that classroom and hear some messages about the day to day life of the school. It the first step on what we hope will become a strong partnership between home and school. We know starting school can be a worrying time, so we have recorded some short videos from the Reception and Nursery teams to welcome you and your child to Honeywell. We know how important it is to be able have your own picture of your child’s class teacher. Many of the current nursery children will have already had a brief, socially distanced meeting with their new Reception teacher, but these videos will enable the children who have not been to the nursery or those who have not been back over lockdown to see who their class teacher will be. The entire Nursery team are included in the nursery video, so hopefully you will be reassured that they are all extremely friendly and super excited for the new school year, when we will hopefully be able to get back to a more normal school routine!
We look forward to meeting you at the welcome events in the first week of September, when we can share all the information you will need. Much of this is already in the Handbook that was sent home last week, but if you have any queries do not hesitate to contact the school office.
There is nothing formal that you need to do now, apart from sending back your registration forms. There is no uniform and nothing you need to buy at this point.
Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing everybody in September.
