Intent

The Religious Education curriculum at Honeywell Infant School aims to provide all children with the skills, knowledge and understanding they need in order to:

• Appreciate the religions and beliefs which form part of our contemporary society
• Appreciate the variety of different religions and beliefs which form part of our contemporary society
• Promote community cohesion by having mutual respect for different religions
• Discuss the key features of religious traditions, such as Christianity, Judaism and Islam
• Take part in theological discussions about the ultimate meaning of life, beliefs about God, issues of right and wrong and what it means to be human
