School Magazine

The school magazine is called Sting.  It is a regular PTFA publication produced voluntarily by a small group of Honeywell parents with contributions and help from the children, staff and other parents.  It aims to represent the whole school community - from parents and pupils to teachers, heads, governors, support staff and local businesses.

Each issue includes a huge variety of topics ranging from educational features and school events to sports and club news, interesting projects and topical issues relating to the schools. There is a special section in the centre of the magazine called My Sting, aimed specifically at pupils. Sting also includes advertising, usually from local businesses, which raises money for PTFA funds. In addition, we'd like to start a classified section for private advertisers at a nominal cost.

Sting is always looking for volunteers and welcomes feedback, ideas, articles, stories, poems, drawings, jokes from all children, parents and staff. The children in particular love to see their contributions in print.

Contributions and classified ads can be placed in the Sting box in the school office. If you wish to advertise or help co-ordinate the advertising, write a feature or volunteer to get involved, you can contact the editors via the PTFA website.
